WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Tirtouga || Male || Sturdy || Water / Rock || 07 Bide || Water Gun || Withdraw || Rollout || The day looked fine; bright and sunny without a cloud in the sky. At least, that was how it started. From the depths of the ocean, the Tirtouga slowly came closer to the surface, only to see the dark clouds huddled high up. He liked the rain, sure, but it was certainly unexpected today. It was as if some Pokemon had used rain dance or something; probably one of those darned Ludicolo that always sat around on the beach, doing nothing but dancing.
Slowly, the turtle surfaced some ways from shore, slowly swimming closer. Things were of little interest as of late, and he was looking for something fun to do. Perhaps he should go find some fish, or maybe some other Tirtouga to play with, but there were none. So he continued to swim, his black shell nearly invisible against the now slowly brewing waters. The storm was really picking up, now was it. Raising his head for just a moment, the turtle Pokemon squinted, thinking he saw something on the shore in the distance.

Angels, they fell first but I'm still here TO END ALL THE INNOCENCE [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
He was looking for pokemon by the shore, since that was where they were likely to be hanging around. Probably he would have missed the pokemon drawing nearer the shore if he hadn't seen the rain bouncing off of something that was moving. It was really hard to make out, though. It looked almost like a rock. Rocks, however, didn't move. Didn't come closer to the shore. Perhaps something floating, being dragged in by the tide?
Sakuya stayed put and watched. Then, a head stuck out of the water, and he narrowed his eyes, interested. It was still a little ways away from the shore, and he wasn't stupid enough to startle it back into the water. He could probably send another Thunder attack into the water, but he wanted to see precisely what he was dealing with, first. Besides, he'd been planning to try out a couple other moves on the unsuspecting pokemon he encountered next. If he shot off a Thunder attack, then he wouldn't get to do so, now would he? So he sat, and watched, and waited. He had a few pokeballs left, as he'd only caught the Magikarp and the Psyduck. He wasn't about to waste attacks on something not worth his time. There a lot of water pokemon he had absolutely no desire to waste time on. Still, the head on this one hadn't looked familiar from that distance.
He felt the pokeballs at his side, rather pleased. He'd gotten two that he would undoubtedly find a use for. Not any that he'd particularly been seeking, but if that Magikarp was worked with and evolved, there would be those willing to pay a pretty price for him. He smirked lazily, wishing it would stop raining so he could get dry. He hadn't wanted the stupid wingull making off with his Magikarp, otherwise he would have staved off using that move. It did have its disadvantages...like him getting soaked. Still, he might find it advantageous, yet, if he needed to use Thunder after all.

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Tirtouga || Male || Sturdy || Water / Rock || 07 Bide || Water Gun || Withdraw || Rollout || The Tirtouga, seeing nothing amiss about the object on the shore in the distance, slowly began to swim closer. A whole lot of things about him was slow, so to speak. He watched lazily, bobbing wave to wave, up and down on the currents until he got about ten feet from the shore. That was when he realized that thing he previously thought of as a rock was a human; a human male with blue eyes, staring out into the ocean and standing in the rain with nothing that humans usually wore to protect themselves. It was a very curious sight, and the Tirtouga wandered just a bit closer, still bobbing among the waves.
”Tir…” A wondering sound, slapping his fins about in the water to get the human’s attention. He wanted to ask what the heck the blue haired guy was doing out in a storm without that shield thing humans usually used. Why was he alone? Where was his group of humans? All those things were of great curiousity.

Angels, they fell first but I'm still here TO END ALL THE INNOCENCE [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
The pokemon came closer, but not close enough to try for any attacks he'd had in mind. He scowled, watching it inch just a little closer still. He could use Thunder on it, and that would definitely hit for sure. While he was debating on that or another longer range move, the pokemon suddenly began to flap its fins in the water. What the hell? It was as if it wanted him to notice it. Sakuya wasn't sure why. If it wanted a battle it would have to come a hell of a lot closer to get any moves he figured it had to him. He stuck his hands in his pockets. Was that what he thought it was? If it was, he wanted to get it inside one of his pokeballs!
To shock it, or not? For some reason, curiosity won out, and he wanted to find out what it wanted. He took a couple steps closer, and, figuring it might understand him like most of the pokemon he knew of did, he said over the rain,
"What d'you want? Yeah, I look like an idiot standing here, so what? I made it rain, and now I'm stuck dealing with it. Came out here looking for some strong pokemon and so far I've found sweet fuck all. You interested in traveling or evolving?" He grinned at it. It definitely was the strongest pokemon he'd met here so far, from what he figured. He could definitely work with a pokemon like that. Plus it actually seemed to have some damn brains. He couldn't really think that of the last few he'd come across. The psyduck wouldn't fight. The magikarp didn't stand a damn chance and that stupid wingull? Probably still on the rock back there, and served it right for trying to make off with his pokemon.
He looked up at the sky, and then back at the Tirtouga. Yeah, that was a pokemon he would call worthwhile. And so, keeping up 'conversation', he shrugged and told it,
"You look to be the best pokemon I've seen out here all day. Why the hell don't you have a trainer yet, huh? You'd never have to run into morons looking to fight you that way, y'know." He shook his head, uselessly spraying off droplets of water, only for the rain to make it pointless once more. It should let up soon enough, anyhow. He wasn't sure why he didn't just electrocute the pokemon and be done with it. Yet he'd done that to a couple already and he didn't feel the urge to do it again--yet. That depended entirely on the pokemon...

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Tirtouga || Male || Sturdy || Water / Rock || 07 Bide || Water Gun || Withdraw || Rollout || After a few minutes of splashing around like a completely lunatic, the human seemed to finally take a bit of notice to him. He came over to the edge of the water, and the Tirtouga got a better look at him now that he was just a bit closer. He was still far enough away to most attacks that would be thrown at him, but close enough that he could now hear the human as he spoke to him.
And speak to him he did, in a mildly irritated but energetic tone. He didn’t quite understand what the human was saying, outside of his overall tone. Was he impressed with him? It sort of sounded like it, and the Tirtouga wandered just a little closer, hoping it wasn’t a mistake, until he was nearly at the man’s feet. Splashing about in the water a little more, he found that he wasn’t much of a threat as of yet and slowly clambered ashore, where he was at his weakest. ”Tir… tir…”
[/color][/b] He exclaimed up at the human in an equally excited tone, wondering what this was all about. [/size] [/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify]

Angels, they fell first but I'm still here TO END ALL THE INNOCENCE [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
As the pokemon came closer and then to the shore, Sakuya knew he had his chance to attack it. Only the pokemon had stones, coming ashore like that. While he toyed with the idea of pulling a move to get the pokemon all the way up the beach, for whatever reason he didn't. It was a respect thing. The pokemon had responded to him speaking to it. It wasn't a weak, stupid looking thing. It looked bloody smart as hell--for a pokemon. He respected that, and he wouldn't bother attacking it unless he had to to prevent it from going off. A pokemon like that had some serious attributes that he could admire. Admiration was for the worthy. Respect for the worthy. For some reason, Sakuya found he had both for the Tirtouga.
He had no doubt it would fight him if need be. And probably fare a whole lot better than the others had, too. Tempting. But not yet. He knelt down, so he could get a closer look at it. Impressive armor, for a non-evolved species. He examined it, and then figured 'what the hell' and began speaking to it again. Not like there was anyone here to see. If he decided to talk to the damn thing, let anyone try and say anything besides. He'd drown their sorry asses before he let them say anything of it.
"You got stones, pokemon," a lazy grin, and then, "you know I debated kicking your ass like the others. But you coming up here changed my mind. Not even sure you can understand me," he muttered, but his tone was still amused. The Tirtouga was right, he was rather impressed with it, even against his better judgment of being so. "You live here, huh? Lucky little bastard. No fear of drowning in you, huh? Must be nice," he told it, gazing out at the water. Unlike his gijinka form, who could breathe water as easily as air, he couldn't. Or he figured he couldn't, anyhow. He had no gills of any kind, he wasn't about to test it. He had found he could hold his breath a hell of a lot longer, though. Which was somewhat reassuring. He had always been a strong swimmer, but the fear of drowning ran deep. He wasn't afraid of much else, save that and death.
"You know, I hear your kind comes with trainers willingly. D'you believe that? If I were you, I would. Surefire way to make sure some asshole like me doesn't come here and beat your ass to make you do it. Which, I gotta' say, you seem worth doing for. Not like the other useless little shits I picked up here. Nothing half so worth my time." He sighed, and watched the pokemon. He could do it, too. So easy, but somehow it didn't seem like a fair move. He didn't mind fighting dirty, but this irked him somehow. Not wanting to just put the Tirtouga out so he could catch it. Irksome indeed.

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Tirtouga || Male || Sturdy || Water / Rock || 07 Bide || Water Gun || Withdraw || Rollout || The little blue turtle watched with mild curiousity as the human knelt down to be at least somewhat his own level. Ah, so the human was nice then? That was a good sign, and the Tirtouga flipped his flippers in the sand to show that he was excited or happy or a little bit of both. His tone sounded amused, and so the little turtle went right on being amused with him, making a low whistling sound. He wasn’t quite sure what the human was even saying, but he’d gotten the gist of it that the human wasn’t going to attack him outright.
Then an idea struck him; didn’t humans travel a lot? Didn’t they go on amazing adventures far and wide? Didn’t they bring pokemon with them sometimes? Now that would be a neat idea. The Tirtouga pondered this thought for a few minutes, wondering if this was the kind of human who did all the travelling. There were lots of kinds of humans; some were crazy, and some were nice. As far as he was concerned, this human seemed nice. And adventure sounded fun. It sounded like he could go wherever he liked and not have to worry about staying near water all the time.
”Tirtouga!” The little turtle chirped, reaching up to place a flipper on the human’s face. He patted the human a few times.

Angels, they fell first but I'm still here TO END ALL THE INNOCENCE [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
If they had one thing in common, it was that neither understood the other, and yet they both wanted the same thing. Sakuya didn't like being touched by people. He didn't like being touched in general. Still, he didn't protest or make a big deal out of the pokemon touching his face with a wet flipper. No one was here to see, again, and the turtle pokemon had caught his entire interest.
"What? You offering to come with me? You'd be better off, like I said. I'm not gonna' just stay on this beach forever. Might like the idea, but there's more out there than this place. Did'ja want to come?" He had psyduck and magikarp, but he hadn't really wanted to waste his time on either. Those were going to be traded off. He didn't mind partnering up with this pokemon though. It seemed worth the work. If it wanted to come with him, if it was offering to, hell that earned it bonus points with him.
Removing a pokeball from his belt, he put it on the sand in front of the Tirtouga. He pointed to it, then to himself, explaining,
"If you want to come with, that's how. Just tap the front of it. Sounds weird as hell, isn't that complicated." He pointed to the pokemon, and then tapped the front of the pokeball. He didn't mind letting it out after. At least this one was worth the company and time. Maybe he could even see how much fight it had in it. Probably more than the others. Or he might let it check out that pokeball and wait to see what they came across. Truth be told he was rather pleased, even though he wouldn't have admitted it, to how things were going. This wasn't what he had expected but it was interesting.

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Tirtouga || Male || Sturdy || Water / Rock || 07 Bide || Water Gun || Withdraw || Rollout || The human spoke again, and the Tirtouga listened with rapt attention, even if he didn’t understand a thing that came out of the man’s mouth. Tilting his head a bit at the ball thing offered to him, it was placed in front of him, and he sniffed it with some curiousity. The human’s gestures went mostly unnoticed as he continued to sniff at it, but not touch it. Now, what was this thing? Some sort of capsule? Food? It certainly didn’t smell like food.
So, as a dog would a ball, the Tirtouga picked the red and white thing up and tossed it with all his might back onto the beach. He then looked up at the human, tilting his head again. ”Tir?” Was that how it was supposed to go? Was he supposed to throw the round object, like he’d seem people do in the summer when it was nicer out? He slapped the sand twice with his flipper in question, staring off after the tossed Pokeball. Was the human supposed to go get it now?

Angels, they fell first but I'm still here TO END ALL THE INNOCENCE [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
He had at least half expected the pokemon to get on inside the pokeball. Instead, it picked it up...and threw it. Sakuya narrowed his eyes dangerously a moment, watching it roll to a stop a good few feet away. Had that been done on purpose? Friggin' little shit. Still, the pokemon wasn't looking at him like he was mocking him. Could it be that the blue and black turtle-like pokemon just didn't get the point? Well, could be. No one said they all understood human language. He stood up, walked over to the ball, and then picked it up. He couldn't know that that was precisely what the Tirtouga was expecting him to do.
He walked back over to the pokemon, looking a bit peeved and unsure of how to proceed. Did he have to feed the bloody thing or something? He'd heard in a lecture once that pokemon responded favorably to that kind of crap. He had food. Hell he even had pokemon chow. He sighed. This was not what he'd had in mind at all. He retrieved said block of pokemon chow, and placed it in front of the Tirtouga. Problem was, what now? How much could he communicate to the thing? The human and pokemon language barrier...such a pain in the ass. His bright blue eyes watched the pokemon closely. He was so sure you didn't have to battle them all to get them to come with you. But what did you do if they weren't ko'd? He was curious now...and biding his time. Patience was a virtue he didn't have a whole lot of. He wanted to figure this out, and it irked him he didn't quite know where to go from here.
"If you eat that, you're definitely coming with me," he told it, sounding like he meant business. He pointed to the pokemon, and pointed to himself. "With me, got it, ya' little punk?" Arceus this was a royal pain. They should invent a bloody translator so guys like him didn't have to put up with shit like this. Hell, maybe he would do it and get it patented, too. Make a shitload of cash, and buy all his pokemon rather than try like some moron to sit on a beach conversing with one. Yeah...like that would happen...

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Tirtouga || Male || Sturdy || Water / Rock || 07 Bide || Water Gun || Withdraw || Rollout || Oh, so it was how it was supposed to go? The human went after the ball object and fetched it back, kneeling in front of him once again with the white and red capsule in his hand. The human didn’t seem too happy about it though, and instead started reaching into his bag. What was he getting now? The Tirtouga peered over at his hand in curiousity, wanting to see what strange and wonderful things the blue haired man was going to give him next.
Something, what looked like a square little cube, was dropped with a plop in front of him onto the sand. The little turtle reached out and sniffed it… Oh, that smelled tasty, and he looked back at the human when he started pointing to himself. He should… eat it? Or not? Humans were awfully confusing creatures, and the turtle wasn’t sure if he was offering food or not, or if he just wanted to play.
The little turtle picked it up with a single flipper, balancing it very carefully on the flat limb before reaching up… And shoving it in the human’s mouth. He wanted the food, right? That’s why he was pointing at himself, right? The Tirtouga wasn’t sure why the human couldn’t just feed himself, but he wasn’t one to question.

Angels, they fell first but I'm still here TO END ALL THE INNOCENCE [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
For a moment, the Tirtouga actually seemed like he was going to eat the little block of pokemon chow. It had some rather likable fruits in it, and nuts, and was essentially something akin to a protien filled and tasty fruitcake of a fashion. Only he didn't eat it. He picked it up, and Sakuya thought he would put it in his own mouth. But he didn't. No, he really, really didn't.
All of a sudden, the pokemon shoved the pokechow into his mouth! He turned pale, and then, realizing he had pointed to himself, and that there had been a serious misunderstanding, resisted the urge to start cussing the damn pokemon out. He was pissed. The damn thing didn't taste bad, but having a Tirtouga shove his flipper down his throat hadn't been part of the game plan, Arceus damn it all! He grabbed another block, and shoved it into Tirtouga's mouth, resisting the urge to spit the food in his own out. Okay, he knew what was in it. Wasn't like dead bugs or raw meat or anything. He chewed it, completely deadpan, as he stared at the Tirtouga. First he'd thrown the pokeball. Then he'd dared shoved the damn pokemon chow in his mouth. By all rights, he should kick its ass.
Did it think it was doing a good thing? What was this, friggin kindergarten? Share your shit and all that crap? He was pretty frustrated, since the damn pokemon didn't seem to be getting it. What the hell was he supposed to do now? Fuck this pokemon was either splendidly smart and having a go of it at his expense, or thought it was doing a good thing--or stupider than wingull shit. Which it was he had no clue. How the hell was he supposed to get it into the damn pokeball? Huh...wait a second. He had other pokemon. Sure they had been caught by means of battle, but he could at least show the Tirtouga that pokemon came out and went into pokeballs, right?
The problem was, he wasn't even sure that the psyduck wouldn't do something completely stupid. Magikarp had been fried by his Thunder attack. Fuck this was hopeless. He took the pokeball in hand, thinking. He didn't want the pokemon throwing it up the beach again. He couldn't very well go into it to set an example. So he tried lightly tapping the Tirtouga with it, to see if it might go in. Chances were, it could come out again if it wanted to. He hadn't weakened it at all. When you tapped or touched a pokemon with a pokeball by throwing it at them, they went in. He'd had it explained to him that it was like a pokemon room in there. He didn't bother to think on how it had been done, but the lab had said it was like having your own personal room where it was safe and dry and warm. Maybe the pokemon would like that. So, without further ado he waited to see what would happen.

Tirtouga has been captured! WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Swinub || Female || Snow Cloak || Ice / Ground || 09 Tackle || Odor Sleuth || Mud Sport || Powder Snow ”Swinub… swinub…” The little pig Pokemon scuttled back and forth along the beach, little furry paws kicking up sand as he searched for sea shells. They were pretty little things, and there were always some very nice ones that washed up after a storm. The rain had started and was coming down hard, and the Swinub wandered the beach, waiting for a wave and then scooting down right after to pick up any nice looking shells that may have washed up with it.
Unfortunately, nothing very nice looking had come up yet. She continued to dig around, jumping up on rocks when the waves came to prevent herself from being swept away, before going back to her search. Her nose was pressed to the ground, seeking the scent of a fresh shell when it picked something else up… A very strange smelling human.
”Swin… ub…” Raising her nose to the air, she continued to sniff, heading towards the scent of human and something else and perhaps food…

Angels, they fell first but I'm still here TO END ALL THE INNOCENCE [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
Nothing happened. It seemed that Tirtouga was getting the point, now. He'd let it settle in, relax, all that. He was quite pleased. Enough so that he didn't see the swinub. Not that he would have cared. Who wanted a pig in their team? Not him. Not him at all. Instead he was walking in the opposite direction. It was still a little before when he'd normally eat lunch or some kind of snack. He wasn't hungry quite yet and was perfectly content to go about his continued venture, keeping eyes and ears open for interesting pokemon.
He headed away from swinub and down the beach, to a more open area with lots of driftwood. Could be that there were pokemon who made their home here. There were some shrubs, driftwood pieces washed far ashore by previous tides long gone. There were even smaller trees dotting the shoreline. It was a nice place with lots of shade. But he didn't want shade. It had stopped raining, he noticed. Well, that was good. He'd hate to have to make it rain again so soon, he wanted to be dry, now. So he stood in the sunlight, and allowed the heat of it to begin the process of drying his clothes. What a sopping mess he was.
He was watching the higher beach area, occasionally scanning the waterfront. There had to be pokemon here. It was just too perfect a place for them to make a home. Hell, minus the few scattered caves and rocky fixtures, this place was near perfect. There were huge pieces and small pieces of driftwood. Something could make a home under or even in some of this stuff. So keeping his eyes peeled, he watched, and waited.

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Pidove || Female || Big Pecks || Flying / Normal || 07 Gust || Growl || - - - || - - - A small bird’s soft, quiet cooing couldn’t be heard at all over the driving wind. The storm was beginning to pick up, and it had only started a very short while ago. The little Pidove stared up at the dark skies, tilted her little head in wonder at the strange weather. What was this all about? She had scarcely come to find some nesting material when the storm whipped itself up, puffy greys and blacks dotted the sky, and not a single sliver of blue was available. Hopefully, things would get better soon.
”Piiiii~” She cooed softly, tucking her head under her wing to rest. She sat underneath a small log, sheltering her from any passerby or the storm, if it suddenly decided to whip itself up. Nothing would bother her here, she could only hope. She’d heard of humans in the area as of late, but she wasn’t sure how often they frequented. Hopefully, she wouldn’t need to find out anytime soon.
