Angels, they fell first but I'm still here TO END ALL THE INNOCENCE [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
Sakuya spotted another pokemon of disinterest. Well, there had to be more than that one here. He wasn't a fan of many bird-like pokemon, at all. Aerodactyl? There was a pokemon who could fly that he would have fought to the death just to get his hands on one. This little pidove? Not even remotely interested. Still, he was a little bored. He could have used something else to at least fight. Still, if there was one pokemon here, there was another, he reminded himself again.
He walked over to a small piece of driftwood, and shoved it lightly with his foot. Not like he really expected anything to happen. He was at least getting drier by the minute. That much he was grateful for. Even the rain had been warm rain. It was growing warmer by the hour, too. It promised to be a hotter day today. He didn't mind the heat. Better than cold. He didn't much care for cold. He turned to look at the water's edge again. Anything there, yet? How many water types would he want to see, anyhow? There weren't even any of those...well, a couple. Gible would be welcome, as would totodile or even carvahna. Useful water types. Tougher than the average Magikarp. Which he still had in his pokeball. How many did he have now? Three? He'd have to be careful if he didn't want to use them all up. He'd only catch the pokemon worth his time, now. He had three on him, and of them all, only the tirtouga was something that interested him. Magikarp were just too useless for too long. Psyduck drove him batty just trying to imagine working with one. So something useful...or something he figured someone else might find useful. Those were the goals.

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Spheal || Male || Thick Fat || Water / Ice || 05 Defense Curl || Water Gun || Powder Snow || Growl || ”Spheal~” The high pitched voice of the round, beachball-like Pokemon carried over the slowly diminishing rain. He’d been hiding near the water, diving under when the thunder seemed to get really bad and surfacing when it didn’t. Thankfully, just as the storm had come, it was now fading away. Of course, he was unaware that it had been a rain dance and that they went away relatively quickly.
But finally, having heard the last of the thunder maybe half an hour prior, the Spheal slowly surfaced, dragging his fat, round body onto the beach and looking around. There was nobody there, probably all hiding from the rain. Curiously, the young Spheal dragged himself along the fine sand of the beach, completely warm despite the cold rain thanks to his very thick fat. Crawling up the beach, he thought he spotted something in the distance next to a pile of driftwood. Oh, how curious.
Dragging himself on his two front flippers, he came near enough to recognize the shape as a human! ”Spheal!” The round Pokemon cried excitedly, clapping his two front flippers together.

Seriously? He saw a third pokemon, and it was simply just another one he didn't even want to deal with. Still he was fairly annoyed. And he didn't really feel like standing there waiting on another pokemon to show up without doing anything whatsoever. What about that Tirtouga? He hadn't worked with it yet. But at the same time, maybe he could give the pokemon a try. See what it was capable of. It was a plan he could live with. In the meantime, maybe something else would show up.
Tossing the pokeball, he watched the pokemon materialize. The other two were down for the count until he could get them to a pokecenter. This one was unharmed, and had come with him willingly. Which made it smarter than the other two in his mind, anyhow. He pointed to the pokemon, and Tirtouga looked at him, then the pokemon.
"Well? Kick its ass already!" He told it. Tirtouga tilted its head to the side. It knew what pokemon did when their trainers had it come out with another pokemon. It had seen them, and it was smart enough to figure this one out. The human wanted him to battle! Well, he could show the human what he could do? He had been let out in a place not near the water. So he wasn't the fastest here. Nor was the Spheal, though! They both had flippers and they both were not fast pokemon.
Tirtouga Withdrew his head and arms into his shell, feeling a sense of rising stability, as his defense rose. Then, he didn't wait a moment before deciding on his next move. Spheal didn't stand a chance, in his mind. He did not come out again, but shot toward the spheal, beginning a Rollout attack. Spheal was weak against rock type moves, and nothing Spheal could do would be something he, Tirtouga, was weak against! Tirtouga was confident he had this battle in the bag--but did he?
Sakuya watched, satisfied. He couldn't have done better himself, had he been Tirtouga. He watched in amusement as the turtle-like pokemon went into its shell, and then began to roll quickly towards the spheal. Well, this was getting interesting already! He didn't want the spheal, but he did want to see his new addition beat it. He wondered how many moves the pokemon had. It didn't look like it was super strong or anything. Yet it probably could take on this spheal with little trouble--or he figured. He might be sorely mistaken, but he didn't think it had moves Tirtouga would have too much trouble with. Or so he hoped. He watched and waited, anticipating what the outcome might be.

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Spheal || Male || Thick Fat || Water / Ice || 05 Defense Curl || Water Gun || Powder Snow || Growl || The Spheal watched in great curiousity as the human stopped a few meters away from him, and he leaned up to clap his flippers once more. It seemed that the seal had gotten the human’s attention, but he wasn’t coming any closer... why was that? He tilted his head to the side, watching as the blue haired man drew something from his pocket... it looked like a ball, but when it opened up, a Tirtouga seemed to appear!
Now that was quite a curious thing, and the Spheal watched in awestruck fascination as the turtle began to roll towards him... only to hit him hard with a rollout! ”Spheal!” He cried. That wasn’t very nice at all! The seal Pokemon scowled at the Tirtouga, wanting to scold him on his mean behaviour. It had hurt a lot, and so in return, the Speal used a water gun.

Tirtouga meant business. If Spheal thought that a water gun attack was going to stop his Rollout, he was wrong. Dead wrong. Tirtouga didn't particularly like the sting of water, but he only sped up, and turned on a dime and came right back at Spheal. This was a pokemon battle, and he intended to win it. He could tell by Spheal's protest that he didn't necessarily want to battle. Yet he would have to toughen up if he was to ever hope to grow stronger.
"Tirrrr!" He simply told it. Toughen up, Spheal! He was going faster than ever before, and he circled around and around Spheal, bouncing into the air while rolling and coming down fast at it, still using Rollout. He was aiming for the Spheal's head that time. He wanted to knock it down so that it wouldn't get back up. That was the way to win a battle, wasn't it? Well, he would win if Spheal ran away too, or so he thought. If it didn't want to fight it shouldn't have shot him with that Water Gun attack! Tirtouga did want to battle though, so he was glad Spheal had.
Sakuya wasn't used to just watching and not fighting himself. But he had to admit, there was an exciting aspect to this. He knew his own strengths, but not Tirtouga's. It was like watching someone else's match, only a newcomer's. Because he knew other fighter's strengths after battling them too--except the new ones. Tirtouga had potential. It was doing what he might have done in its position. Rollout only got faster and stronger, and how many moves could it have had? Not a whole lot, was what. So he watched, finding himself wanting, reasonably, his Tirtouga to win. It was his, wasn't it...it felt a bit strange, 'owning' pokemon. The idea of didn't really sit well with the Gyarados gijinka. Still, powerful pokemon lent power to him...so maybe it wasn't so bad. He wasn't going to trouble himself about it.

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Spheal || Male || Thick Fat || Water / Ice || 05 Defense Curl || Water Gun || Powder Snow || Growl || The round seal Pokemon snarled and snapped at the oncoming Tirtouga, managing to roll right out of the way of the first rollout and into the water, only to thunder back up on land again. The sand dampened with the water being repelled from the Spheal’s fur, and he growled and began moving forward again. That Tirtouga wasn’t getting away so easily. He was being downright damned rude, and the Spheal was going to teach him some manners.
The second rollout managed to hit the seal Pokemon hard, rolling the fat blue beast to the side. He just managed to get back up on his belly though, still glowering at the Tirtouga. Spheals were a rough and tough species, despite being adorably cute. His body suddenly glowed a bright white, and the Pokemon used powder snow.

Sakuya smirked as the spheal began to get upset. That was more like it! It wasn't much of a battle when one pokemon wasn't making any effort to battle! However, he wasn't too pleased when the first Rollout attack missed. The second hit though, sending the rotund blue pokemon sprawling. Tirtouga wasn't done with it, either. Every time Rollout was used, it got faster, and faster. Tirtouga was going at an alarming speed now, and the Powder Snow Spheal used, besides being something the turtle-like pokemon was strong against as an Ice move, didn't slow him one bit. It stung a little, but that was the extent of it.
He didn't miss a beat, turning with astonishing speed and coming up to the spheal's left side still using Rollout, faster now than ever. He didn't even pause a moment, before rolling in reverse to aim a hit with Rollout on the spheal's right side. Five times he'd used Rollout, and now he bounced and landed in front of Spheal. He could use it again, but he would need to restart rolling after five uses or else he'd be too dizzy. Besides, it wouldn't hurt to see how he was doing! He glanced at the human whom he'd chosen to go with, and saw he looked rather pleased. Well, that was good! He should be, because he'd been impressed with him to begin with, and now he would be further impressed. He was a good fighter, and would prove his worth!
Sakuya was impressed. The tirtouga was right about that. For now he had a pokemon he could battle with. The more experience the pokemon got, the more worth he would hold. He hadn't decided what hew was doing with the water-rock type yet. But he knew he had a valuable asset with him and wasn't going to let it go in the meantime. He watched it, curious to see what spheal would do, facing such a tough pokemon as tirtouga was showing itself to be.

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Spheal || Male || Thick Fat || Water / Ice || 05 Defense Curl || Water Gun || Powder Snow || Growl || ”S-spheal...” The round Pokemon mumbled under his breath, already tired because of how young he was, but glaring at the turtle all the same. He was so mean, and the human wasn’t helping at all, looking even meaner as he stood back. Why wasn’t he telling his Tirtouga to stop? How rude of them both.
Lost in his thoughts, he didn’t notice when the Tirtouga crept up to him at blinding speed, smacking right into him left and right with multiple rollouts. He survived the first one, but the second was just too much. With a final cry, the Spheal submitted, slapping his flippers angrily before retreating the safety of the water...
Spheal has been scared away! Tirtouga gained 2 levels! WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Jynx || Female || Forewarn || Psychic / Ice || 10 Pound || Lick || Lovely Kiss || Powder Snow A brightly coloured Pokemon made her way along the shore, bemoaning life and being rather mysterious, if she did say so herself. A sort of maiden in the mist, by the sea, wondering when a lost lover would ever come home... that was, it usually went like that in those few human books she sometimes found discarded on the beach. The Jynx’s long, blond hair was whipped by the wind, only to settle once again perfectly.
As she trod along, she couldn’t help but notice something up ahead... a human? A human male, all alone at the beach, with no companion? Now that wouldn’t do, and the Pokemon, with a love of acting and romance, quickly decided that she should be said companion. After all, what human could resist her beauty?
With no hesitance whatsoever, she trod right up to him. ”Why hello there. What’s your name?” She asked, using her psychic abilities to push her voice into his head.

Angels, they fell first but I'm still here TO END ALL THE INNOCENCE [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
He was pretty darn pleased with tirtouga's battle outcome. So pleased, that he was kneeling down near the pokemon, looking after the fleeing spheal smugly. That was why he didn't see the newest arrival. The voice in his head made him freeze. He slowly turned around, blue eyes going wider, and wider, and yet wider.
"Oh fuck me..." he said, feeling suddenly choked up, and horrified. It was one of them. In general, he didn't care for the psychic types. Or at least quite a slew of them. This one, however, was the worst. It was creepy. Beyond creepy. He was frozen, and completely horrified. Yet as the evil creature came closer, his fight or flight instincts kicked in. There was no damn way he was sticking around to see what horrible things happened to him!
He suddenly snatched up tirtouga, clutching him for dear life, and turned tail, running and stumbling down the beach at full speed. He didn't look back, he didn't dare. He knew what horror awaited back there, and it was only when he was faaaar down the beach and the horrifying beast was out of his sight completely that he stopped, placing tirtouga on the sand, and leaned over, holding his knees and breathing hard. He hoped that he would never, ever, ever encounter the likes of that creature again. Ever.
"Tiiiir?" The question came, and he stood up, breathing slowing, and pointed over his shoulder.
"That thing? Was evil. It controls your mind and you should stay far, far away from it if you don't want to die a horrible, horrible death." Maybe that was being a bit dramatic, but those things...he shuddered, running a hand through his hair. Tirtouga looked surprised, but nodded his head once. He would remember that. Jynx were evil. It was known.

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Psyduck || Male || Cloud Nine || Water || 09 Water Sport || Scratch || Tail Whip || Water Gun || Now, where did that other psyduck go? The yellow duck shook his head in frustration, stomping along the beach in search for his friend that wandered away from the pond and got lost again. He usually did that, absent minded that he was, and forgot his way back... or forgot what he was going to do, or forgot that he was supposed to breathe and damn it, he just forgot everything!
The duck Pokemon snarled under his breath, picking over the beach in search of his (amazing stupid) kin. Why did all the other Psyduck at the pond have to tell him that he was the one to go look for him? He didn't do anything wrong, though it had been a while since he went in search for their slightly dim friend. Ah well... It was fair, he supposed, though he didn't like it any more than a few seconds ago.
With a scowl still upon his beak, the duck saw something up ahead. Two figures, one lower to the ground and one standing higher, though still somewhat short... Was that lower thing his friend? Oh, it had better be, as he angrily stomped over with a hateful stare. It better be!

It just wasn't right. It or that clown looking Mime thing. Pokemon shouldn't bear any resemblance to humans, in his mind. That was just unnatural. So when he saw what was stomping towards him, he was actually relieved...if not a bit frustrated. He'd only found the Tirtouga today. He supposed he could consider that good luck on his part, though. Tirtouga was a great pokemon. He had caught a psyduck already, but it had looked kind of...derpy. Yes, that was the word that came to mind. This one...it warranted a second look.
"Tir?" Tirtouga asked psyduck. He was asking him why he seemed so angry. He wondered if his human would be pleased if he were to battle the angry looking psyduck. For now, though, he was curious. He did feel a bit stronger from battling spheal...there was something he felt he wanted to try, but it could wait! He didn't know that his human had already caught a psyduck, meaning to trade the pokemon or get some money for it. His human was looking at this psyduck as though he was pondering something.
In truth, Sakuya was watching the psyduck and pondering if he really wanted to capture another. If he could have captured this one first, he would have. The other had been a total pushover. He did prefer tougher pokemon. Some people, though, wouldn't care. Maybe he'd catch this one for himself. That wasn't a horrible idea...yet he stood and watched, kind of curious as well as to what the pokemon was doing just stomping up to him like this. [/style]

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Psyduck || Male || Cloud Nine || Water || 09 Water Sport || Scratch || Tail Whip || Water Gun || As the yellow duck Pokemon approached the two figures, he realized it wasn’t his stupid friend after all, but a human and his Tirtouga. Oh, now this was just a barrel of fun, now was it? He sighed deeply, rolling his eyes at them and wanting to walk right past, had the Tirtouga not caught his attention with a faint call. It would be rude to outright ignore, but he had no business with these two, damn it!
The Psyduck continued to scowl, the frown permanently etched onto his features now... or at least, that’s what the other Psyduck said about him back at the pond. Ignorant little brats they were, getting headaches and running around like their tails were in fire, only to whine when they got lost and had to be found. ”Psy. Psy duck.” Have you seen my friend?

Maybe Tirtouga could convince this one to come with them, though. He already had a psyduck, true. But he wasn't remiss about the fact that different pokemon were for different people. He'd let Tirtouga do its thing. If that failed...he'd have to fry himself another psyduck.
"Tir. Tir-touga." I haven't. Did he come around here? He glanced at Sakuya. He'd already been on the beach when he'd swam up to shore. Maybe his human had seen the psyduck's friend? There wasn't a way to ask and be sure. But it was possible that maybe psyduck, too, had chosen to go with this person?
"Tir-touga. Tiiir." He explained, pointing a flipper to Sakuya. Maybe my partner has. I don't know how to ask him. Is your friend a psyduck? It might help to know. Maybe they could make his partner understand that they were looking for another psyduck. That was easier than figuring out how to ask about a totally different type of pokemon. Or so he hoped.
Tirtouga pointed at him, and he frowned. So, it was something to do with him, was it? He wasn't normally very patient. He was forcing himself to wait on this little charade. Still, if the payoff was good, he could wait, he supposed. He stuck his hands in his pockets. He had no idea that what they were discussing was the pokemon already in his pokeball at his side. WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Psyduck || Male || Cloud Nine || Water || 09 Water Sport || Scratch || Tail Whip || Water Gun || The human looked like he was growing antsy, perhaps a bit impatient, and that itself made the little yellow duck on edge himself. The Psyduck narrowed his eyes at the human, as if saying that he was watching him before turning back to the Tirtouga, who seemed nice enough. He was at least asking, though the question was a bit of a stupid one. Of course his friend was a damn Psyduck! What else could he be?
”Psyyyyy!” Of course he’s a Psyduck!
[/color] The yellow Pokemon huffed in anger before crossing his little arms over his chest. His friend was a bit of an idiot, and he wouldn’t be surprised if he walked straight into a trainer’s pokeball and forgot how to struggle to get out. Why couldn’t the group just leave him be for once and let him wander? If he got into trouble, then he’d learn. [/size] [/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify]

Much more interesting than the other psyduck. Sakuya hadn't really cared much for the stupid looking yellow duck-like pokemon. He narrowed his eyes in interest at this one, however. Psyduck were usually a bit dopey...weren't they? They were known for it. Hell, they had fans due to it, for Arceus' sake. This one was different. He decided then and there he wanted this one.
Tirtouga nodded, a little surprised that psyduck was getting so irate. Was it really a friend he was looking for? Shouldn't he be more concerned if it was actually a friend? He might have asked, but he never really got the chance. All of a sudden, there was the slightest feeling of static electricity in the air. Then, a bolt of thunder came out of seemingly no where, aimed not at him--but uncomfortably close to!--but at the psyduck he'd been talking to! Sakuya had gotten tired of waiting for them to talk. He had made up his mind he was going to fry the psyduck like the other one and capture it. He was behind both the pokemon, so a sneak attack had been easy as pie. Thunderbolt...how he loved that TM Serum move.
He didn't waste time, and a split second later, he used Dragon Rage. He knew the water type was weak against Electric moves. And he had a lot of water type moves himself, too...but no point in using them. They'd not do as much damage as the other kinds. He wasn't going to spend forever on the beach. He'd caught a psyduck, a magikarp, and a tirtouga so far. That left him with only a couple more pokeballs. After this psyduck, even one less than he'd had. He would capture it, and then see what he couldn't do about using up the last one or two in his bag after. He had to hit the market, after all, and see about trading the psyduck and magikarp he already had. Tirtouga...he'd keep him for now. Unless someone could offer him a better deal, and it had better be a damn good one. He rather liked the pokemon, and that was saying something. He hated to surprise it with that attack, but he'd been careful not to let it hit tirtouga, aiming carefully and precisely for psyduck.
