WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Psyduck || Male || Cloud Nine || Water || 09 Water Sport || Scratch || Tail Whip || Water Gun || Psyduck were generally a very oblivious species. They were absent minded to the fullest extent and rarely did they remember what the heck they were even doing. However, this Psyduck was a bit different. Unlike his kin, whom he looked down upon greatly, he was at least halfway intelligent if he could help it. He watched things, wary of anything new, and didn’t follow something shiny just because it reflected the light.
Which was why he kept a careful eye on the human even as he was conversing with the Tirtouga. The lightening and thunder was spotted quickly enough, even if the turtle didn’t notice it, and he jumped, flailing as he landed hard on his side a mere two feet away from where thunder struck. A second later, he rolled and dodged the dragon rage that the human threw at him as well. He knew damn well not to trust that infernal species, and he wasn’t going to be sticking around for this one at all.
Turning tails, the Psyduck bolted down the beach, running in a slight weave of a pattern to prevent being an easy target to his back. He just hoped he’d be able to get away.

Was he one of those that was like a pokemon? Able to use their skills? His eyes widened, and he stared after the psyduck in surprise. Then, as Sakuya took off after the pokemon, frustrated that he'd not only managed to dodge one attack but both, he called out after him, and quickly as he could followed--it wasn't very quickly. Sakuya, meanwhile, was pissed. He wanted that bloody pokemon and no way was it getting away! He didn't care to get wet again, and the stupid thing was ahead of him--though not far, he was fast himself and had longer legs so he was on its tail quite literally--he shot off another Thunderbolt, and then yet another Thunderbolt, in rapid succession. He didn't care to get wet again, or else he'd have made it rain. But he wasn't about to let the psyduck get away from him, even if he looked like an idiot chasing it and shooting off thunder in large arcs so that it would hopefully hit the darn thing. If he had to make it rain, after he had just gotten dry again, he was gonna' be super pissed. He'd probably call it a day and head home, even though he was already planning on doing so soon. He needed to get to the market place and see about getting some more pokeballs, and trading some of these more useless pokemon off. In the meantime... "Tch! Get back here you damn coward!" He called after the psyduck, readying to go into another array of attacks, if need be. Why did these damn pokemon all have to--well, save tirtouga--be so friggin' difficult? He hated the fact that they didn't have the sense to see they were better off with him than on their own. He hated that they ran, or were cowardly. Still, he figured that this psyduck was smarter than the last. It showed. So he wasn't going to give up. He wanted that bloody pokemon! WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Psyduck || Male || Cloud Nine || Water || 09 Water Sport || Scratch || Tail Whip || Water Gun || The Psyduck honestly didn’t care where he was going; as long as it was away from that insane human and his turtle. Perhaps not back to his pond, or else everybody would get fried, but at least he was making a wild effort to get away. However, being unprepared and preoccupied with running for his life, he didn’t notice the thunder until it struck him square in the butt.
The yellow duck yelped out loud; quite the strange noise coming from his bill, but taking notice now, he managed to dodge out of the way of the second thunderstrike. He rolled onto the sand before jumping up on his feet once again, this time standing to face the oncoming human. He didn’t know what his problem was, but there was no way he was just letting himself be caught.
With a fury, the Psyduck used Scratch right at the human.

Yet the second missed, and he scowled, ready to shoot more at him. Yet all of a sudden, the pokemon turned on him...actually turned around, and aimed an attack at him! He stumbled backwards, and received the tip of the scratch attack, tearing his pants and leaving only cat-like scratches on his skin. Well, wasn't that just a bitch? Still, it was pissed off and facing him now. He wanted to see the fight in the psyduck! He laughed, a rather bemused sound. Finally! A pokemon who fought back!
He decided to change up his game a bit, then. It was fine and dandy to shoot off thundershock attacks at it, and sure it would fry it best, but he decided to throw in something else in the meantime, and ran straight at him, meaning to have it look like a physical attack like tackle. Only it wasn't, and at the last second he skidded to a stop, having prepped the Hyper Beam attack all the while, and shot it straight at the water type pokemon! He liked big, showy moves, it was true. He also liked mixing things up! He meant to have psyduck one way or the other, unaware that the pokemon intended just the opposite. It didn't want to be caught, and he wanted to capture it. Meanwhile, poor tirtouga was still trying to catch up to the battle. It was going as fast as flippers could carry it, unsure, still, why his human saw it fit to attack psyduck when it had only asked questions. He had a lot to learn, though. [/style]

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Psyduck || Male || Cloud Nine || Water || 09 Water Sport || Scratch || Tail Whip || Water Gun || The scratch had struck, and the Psyduck stood back slightly with a sense of triumph about him. It would certainly deter the human from attacking him so readily a second time, but of course, things didn’t always go as planned. There was a split pause where the man just seemed to stand there, doing nothing… when the Psyduck seemed to recognize this move from somewhere.
It was a charge up, and charge ups tended not to be good for him whatsoever. Charge ups meant strong moves, and most of those strong moves he could not deal with. The little yellow duck was smarter than his regular kin and as soon as he saw this, decided to not stand around and just watch. He turned tails and bolted immediately, trying in vain to find a sturdy hiding spot.
There was none, and soon enough, as predicted, he felt the searing energy shove him flat on his face, sliding him a couple feet at least on his bill.

Which meant going to the market to restock on them, and trading out what he didn't want from this day's captures. Which was practically everything so far. Save tirtouga, and perhaps, just perhaps, the more intellectual of the psyducks. He walked up to the fallen pokemon and tapped it with his pokeball, sighing moodily as he watched it disappear. Yes, he was going to trade the magikarp and other psyduck. The tirtouga he would keep until he found something as worthy as it, or perhaps always. This psyduck...wasn't really his type of pokemon. Golduck was all right, but not quite what he had in mind. Still, he would need pokemon to work with in the meantime, and if he kept two that was better than none.
Four pokeballs filled with pokemon. One left to go. He cursed himself for not bringing more, but he hadn't had the money at the time. He did now, and would after his trading these. He'd restock and see where else he might find what he was looking for. Speaking of...he wanted to wrap this day up with a find that would be of interest. Tirtouga had been the only one. Speaking of tirtouga...
The turtle pokemon was making its way toward him, looking at him with something like awe and surprise. Oh...right. It hadn't fought him, so hadn't seen his neat little...abilities. He smirked as it paused at his feet, and looked at him with wide eyes, understanding now that this man was not what he had appeared to be. Not that tirtouga minded. To fight with your trainer was something new and exciting! He had only heard of these humans who could fight like pokemon. He was in awe of this, and pleased. He'd gotten someone like this, that could battle and take down a pokemon like a pokemon could!
"Yeah, so now you know," Sakuya said with a lazy grin, glancing down before his gaze drifted to the shoreline, and along the beach. One more pokeball. Just one. It had better be something interesting he found. Nothing frightening like Jynx. Nothing useless like the first psyduck. Or so he hoped, anyhow. He wasn't sure if he really wanted to kill away a whole day hunting. He didn't regret catching two psyduck because one was completely different from the other--a good selling point, as it were. But he was hoping for something different, nonetheless. [/style]

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Snorunt || Male || Inner Focus || Ice || 10 Powder Snow || Leer || Double Team || Bite || The small, cone-shaped Pokemon sat hidden among a pile of driftwood, shivering to himself silently as he stood in one place… How long had he been standing there, just watching and waiting for something to come out of the sea? Heck, why was he even shivering? It wasn’t like it was excessively cold, but a certain chill crept out from his very core, making his skin chilly to the touch and giving him the constant case of shivers.
He heard a faint shifting sound in the distant; far away voices and the sound of footsteps creating deep indents into wet sand. It had rained before… but now it wasn’t, and he was glad. The Snorunt didn’t even peek out from his hiding place, instead opting to sit there and continually shiver to himself, contemplating all that could he said and done.

He couldn't see anything. Even if he knew there must be plenty of pokemon around. If he'd been able to see the one hiding behind the rock, he might have actually been interested in catching it. Snorunt was male, and he wouldn't have wanted it male, since most people wanted to fully evolve it into Froslass. One example where a female trumped a male. He was still in the mind frame that a guy could trump a girl anytime. Not quite mature and old fashioned. Very old fashioned. For someone who believed he could beat just about anyone, though...not surprising.
He was walking toward where snorunt was hiding, in either case. Even if he couldn't see it yet, he might soon if he were to head next to the rock. He was mulling over his catches still. Two psyduck, one magikarp, one tirtouga. One more pokeball. One more to capture. All he had to do was find it so he could head away from here. Away from the beach. He'd be back, though. No doubting that. He found it peaceful here. For him, that was saying something. It was more peaceful at this beach, by this ocean, than anywhere he'd ever been before.
He ran a hand through his hair. It was dry, now. The sun shone brightly and his rain had passed quite a while ago. He was about to pass by snorunt's rock. About to pass it, when he sat down on it. Right over snorunt, who huddled beside the rock, below him. He hadn't even noticed, yet. He was content to sit in the sun while watching and waiting. The last pokemon would show itself, and he'd decide whether to wait on another or capture it. One thing was for sure...no more psyduck. He had two, he would let a third go on its way. It wasn't lost on him that all the pokemon he had caught were water types. Even if tirtouga was half and half. He wouldn't have minded something else. He wasn't aware he was probably about to get his wish, the snorunt was right under where he sat, after all. [/style]

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Snorunt || Male || Inner Focus || Ice || 10 Powder Snow || Leer || Double Team || Bite || The Snorunt continued to tremble to himself, shivering as he usually did without honestly feeling the cold. His core was cold, but he never really felt it. Even as the human approached, he watched the horizon dreamily as if nothing else mattered… until he felt the wood just overhead stoop slightly.
”Snor… s-s-snorunt…” the little cone shaped Pokemon chattered, peeking over the very edge of the pile of driftwood to gaze at what had landed. Was it a Pokemon? Only no, it seemed to be a human. A strangely coloured haired human sitting right above him, seeming to mind his own business. The ice type blinked once, twice, and then continued to shiver to himself. He want bothering him, so he’d do the same, and turned back to the horizon.
