Angels, they fell first but I'm still here TO END ALL THE INNOCENCE [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
How far his wandering had brought him. Now, as he stared over across the ocean, he felt more at home than he had anywhere, perhaps ever. The salty smell of the water, the clear air. Plus he was graciously and mercifully alone here. None of the clutter of the city, or the stinking people. Just him, the sand and the sea. Hopefully, a pokemon or two.
He didn't have one yet, but that didn't really bother the gyarados gijinka in the least. He would, and when he did meet the right ones, he'd know. He wasn't much one for making game plans. So when he'd decided to cross the mountain region he didn't have one. Just that he hoped to find some strong kinds of pokemon. Now that he was here, he was after the same thing. He wasn't afraid to tackle whatever he met head on. Though he'd been told it was perhaps a foolish bid to challenge the real thing. Who the hell cared what they thought? He wasn't afraid of any pokemon. He didn't care what kind. Some might call it reckless, but if it was or wasn't wasn't a concern of his. He'd like to test his strength against a real pokemon. Probably he should stick to gijinka, unless he had tried his mettle with pokemon on something...less evolved.
He was sure there had to be water pokemon here. He looked up, and saw a few flying overhead. Wingull, probably. Pelipper, perhaps? What else he didn't know or care. They were likely useless. At least in his mind. He had his hands tucked in his pocket, debating a swim in that water. It still gave him the chills, even since he'd become a super strong swimmer. He just didn't like deep water, period. A small shudder, under the skin, and not visible outwardly, passed through him. He narrowed his eyes, scanning the sandy ground around him. He felt pretty damn good. Where the hell were the pokemon worth his time?
He decided to get serious about looking for some. This place, so far away from civilization, had to be home to some interesting kinds. More interesting than what flew overhead. The surface of the water was not forgotten. What lie in the depths of the ocean was certainly at least as interesting. His own DNA was proof enough of that, yes? He stood so that he could get a view of land, sky and sea. His hands never left his pockets, and his patience...well he didn't have a lot, but he was content to just be where he was at the moment.

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Frillish || Male || Water Absorb || Water / Ghost || 05 Bubble || Water Sport || Absorb || - - - || Ah, the sea. It was a place to eat, a place to rest and a place the little Frillish called home. The blue jellyfish Pokemon floated contently in the waves, bobbing up and down and following the currents as they pleased him to go. He had all the time in the world to just laze about, as he was full of fish he had already eaten, and he’d gotten a good rest beforehand. The ocean was so vast, he wished to explore, and so he did it in the best way he could think of and let the water carry him wherever it wished.
The sea seemed to want for the Frillish to see land today, as the currents dragged him close to a nearby beach. The land was a pretty place, and he wondered what could possibly lurk in a place so vast and so solid, of all things. The blue Pokemon had never known solid mass under his fronds; just the ins and outs and undulating waves of the sea. However, as he came closer and closer to the sand and could begin to feel wet sands under his tentacles, he saw what looked like a human standing by the shore. Now that was an interesting sight, was it? He’d never seen a regular human before, and so in his curiousity, he swam a little closer.
His streamer-like arms trailed behind him as he swam up to the human, staring up at the strange creature (or, at least, so he thought) that simply stood on the sand, doing nothing whatsoever. The human was completely still, almost as if in thought. ”Frill~” A little sound of curiousity, staying right where he was. He certainly didn’t want to scare a stranger.

Angels, they fell first but I'm still here TO END ALL THE INNOCENCE [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
Sakuya was just fine scanning the ocean and sand, without the unwanted interruption. He glanced over to see a pokemon poking above the water. A useless one, in his opinion. He didn't want a Frillish, even if the combination of type was decent. It wasn't the kind of pokemon that intimidated anyone, or anything. Boring, and to him, useless. He muttered darkly under his breath, something unintelligible. He ought to kick it's sorry looking 'ass' for bothering him. Only he wasn't here to waste time or energy on a pokemon like that. Instead, he picked up a rock, and debated throwing it at the thing. Maybe then it would go away. He tossed the rock up and down lightly. The smooth feel of it, and the shape, made it seem like a better rock for skipping across the water than for chucking at a pokemon. He growled under his breath, and then walked closer to the water's edge, but away from the pokemon. Throwing the rock, he watched with satisfaction as it skipped a few times before disappearing underneath the depths.
Ignoring the pokemon entirely, he turned and began walking down the seashore. There was bound to be better pokemon, more suited to him, here. Of course he'd run into a few weak and useless ones first. That was to be expected, he supposed, like it or not. With a sigh, he bent and picked up yet another rock that looked suitable for skipping, and threw it, too. It didn't go as far as the first, but it still had a few jumps in it before it sank. He'd best run into something more interesting. He didn't want to waste his time and come away with nothing to show for it. Even if he wanted to be here. Even if it was a perfectly nice day and he wasn't really bothered by the time he 'wasted' by the sea side. Still, it was in his nature to be obstinate, and so he figured he might as well go with it.

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Psyduck || Male || Damp || Water || 06 Water Sport || Scratch || Tail Whip || - - - || …what was he about to do again? The duck Pokemon waddled along the sandy shore, letting the ocean lap at his little webbed feet as he wondered what the heck he was supposed to be doing. He was supposed to be here for a reason, but for whatever powers that decided to torment him, he simply could not remember why he set foot on the beach. Perhaps it was to get a drink… but he could do that just fine at his pond. Maybe catch some fish? Only there were better places to do that than a huge place like the ocean.
The Psyduck continued to waddle, utterly at loss when he saw somebody coming up along the shore, throwing stones into the water and allowing them to skip across the surface. It looked like a human, though he couldn’t remember the last time he’d seen one. Was this the reason he came to the beach? Perhaps to see a human? It sounded very odd in his mind, but as of the moment he certainly didn’t have any better ideas. Still, he didn’t particularly like the look of this human.
The yellow duck froze where he was, staring as the human came down the beach and wondering what he was to do.

Angels, they fell first but I'm still here TO END ALL THE INNOCENCE [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
He had run into one completely useless pokemon, and now there was a dopey looking psyduck looking at him. Well, he was bored, and he was also aware that golduck was a decent, if not up to his par, pokemon. He had already walked away from one pokemon, and really, what could this little shit hope to do? Even if it had a water attack, he wasn't really that concerned. He flashed his teeth in a devilish grin, and then looked at the pokemon...pointedly.
Really, he was using Leer on it, but it didn't have to know he was doing so, now did it. However, in the next instant, he rushed forward, and lunged for it, attempting to bite it on the first part of it he could get a hold of. Sure it looked a little silly, but using Bite was hardly a joke. He was a bit sadistic, perhaps. Biting something until he tasted blood hardly phased him, in fact, it was a great way to start kicking either a pokemon or gijinka's ass!
He was so used to using his abilities as a fighter, that this was like a walk in the park, in his mind. He'd never fought a pokemon before, yet he'd fought plenty of gijinka and humans. Whatever this little bug eyed creep had to throw at him, he could take it. He wasn't going to be beaten by this clumsy looking little sap. He had no real intention of keeping it, but he knew there were plenty of people who would. He needed leverage, he needed to be able to either trade or sell if he couldn't find something worth his time. Battling was quite a delightful way to pass the time, however. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, and leaped back. He wasn't the kind to pull any punches. Literally. He didn't mind using his fists as much as his skills, either. He knew he could pack a nasty punch, too.

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Psyduck || Male || Damp || Water || 06 Water Sport || Scratch || Tail Whip || - - - || The Psyduck watched in bewilderment as the human seemed to run right at him, giving him a dagger-toothed grin that caused him to freeze. A shiver ran up and down his spine, and maybe it wasn’t the best of ideas to be lingering around for too long. He still didn’t remember why he’d come to the beach in the first place, but if that human was going to be darting around, he sure as heck wasn’t staying to see what he was up to.
But he was coming too fast and before the Psyduck realized what was happening, he got bit right on the arm! ”PSY!” He called in protest and as soon as those jaws unclenched, he flapped his arm in the humans’ direction as if asking what he’d done that for. There was no way he was sticking around here for any longer, and with that thought, he turned tails and bolted to a cluster of nearby rocks on the beach.
The yellow duck hopped behind the biggest rock he could find, hiding and hoping that the human would just forget about him and not make him his next meal.

Angels, they fell first but I'm still here TO END ALL THE INNOCENCE [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
Of all the things he had been thinking might happen, the damn goggle eyed pokemon turned and ran? He swore under his breath, and then followed it. Hiding in a bunch of rocks? What the hell was wrong with the damn thing? He probably wouldn't get too much from this little shit, but he wasn't about to just let it run away like that. It was downright irritating! What had it been complaining about? That was only a starting attack, and it had waved and flailed about like he'd killed it or something. What would it have done if he'd used a stronger attack on it? Fainted? Well, he was pretty annoyed with the pokemon. To think that it was a water type, like him! A gyarados would never have turned tail and ran. It would have fought back and tried to prevail against anything that dared to attack it--just like him. He was every bit the gyarados type, that was for sure.
He focused, until he started to glow with a bright, yellow light. Then, he opened his mouth, where a ball of hot light was forming, and then growing to startling proportions. He shot that massive light ball at the rocks and the psyduck, in a Hyper Beam attack, which shattered the rocks and sent the broken chunks flying in all directions. He wasn't sure if it had hit the psyduck as well, but he stalked over to find out. He had his pokeballs at the ready. If the damn thing cooperated, he wouldn't have to keep battling the little creep.
If it didn't cooperate, he was gonna' make it! He would have respected the psyduck some more if it had actually attempted to fight back. Not ran like a damn little wimp. Just went to prove exactly how useless it would be on a team like his at the stage it was at. He knew alongside someone like him, it would learn to battle and toughen up to evolve into a strong pokemon. Only it would have to grow some damn balls first. A pokemon that only ran away was useless, and really needed to be taught what battling was all about! Still, a lot of them were pretty useless at first. They ran, or sniveled...just like people. He intended to find a pokemon that wouldn't run, but fight back! That was his goal. Or one that would be super strong once he'd worked with it.

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Psyduck || Male || Damp || Water || 06 Water Sport || Scratch || Tail Whip || - - - || Hiding behind the rock was greatly obscuring his view of the human, and the Psyduck’s hearing wasn’t as amazing as some other Pokemon’s either. He just hoped that the human would find it too hard to get to him and just go away, leaving him alone to the rocks and whatever reason he came to the beach in the first place. But of course, it was definitely not the little ducks’ lucky day. At first it was quiet, and all he could hear was a deafening roar and an extremely bright light.
Next thing he knew, he was flung high up into the air along with shards of rock that had basically exploded with the impact of the hyper beam. What? Humans could even do that? The Psyduck was very unaware of this fact and, if he got a chance the next time, he’d be avoiding humans altogether. The thoughts ran through his mind for a second more before he hit the soft sand with a faint thud. The yellow duck just lay there, staring up at the sky and completely and utterly dazed. He was unable to even move, and he barely knew which way was up. He just allowed the human to approach him, having given up on the fight. Was he going to get eaten? He hoped it was going to be painless.

Angels, they fell first but I'm still here TO END ALL THE INNOCENCE [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
Sakuya watched from the ground as the explosion caused not only the rock, but the psyduck, to go high into the air. He almost felt bad for it...usually he didn't use that attack until later in the battle. It was a nice trump card, really. Still, if it had put up a half decent fight, he wouldn't have had to go to that measure to ensure he got it through the damn rocks. He shook his head, smirking, as it hit the ground, seeming almost to bounce as it did. Really, he was almost sorry for it...
He unhooked a pokeball, and tapped it. It expanded, and he walked over to the dazed pokemon, shaking his head. He knelt down, and then spoke, in a tone that was equal parts unimpressed and bemused.
"I'll cut you some slack, pokemon. I'll give you to a trainer who is going to be a lot easier on your sorry ass than I will. With some training maybe you'll grow some damn balls, but for now...I'll let you catch a break in here." That said, he tapped the poor, fallen pokemon with the pokeball. He really hoped he found someone who wanted one of these, because that was one out of five of his pokeballs down and out for the count. He wasn't eager to waste the other four but if he had to do so to trade for something he wanted...so be it.
This was rough shit. First a pokemon that didn't even spark his interest, and then this guy. Hell, part of him was tempted to teach it a few things before handing it off to some poor sap who might be expecting something a bit more impressive. He'd have to think on it. For now, though, it was enough that he had it here like this, period.
He was fully expecting there to be more pokemon around. Little suckers were everywhere. It wasn't going to be easy to find what he wanted. He knew that. He'd end up doing a lot of traveling, and probably see a lot of kinds. But who said he had to let them have all the fun? He could do some fighting on the side, probably. Maybe battle a few pokemon, and all that. It was an idea. He'd love to battle some gijinka. That was a real thrill. Plus he never, ever felt in the least bit sorry for kicking their pitiful asses. He always felt great. With pokemon, there was that annoying twinge of something he didn't quite like. Gijinka...well, they deserved to have the honor of him all but slaughtering them. Such fun, fighting others of his lot was! In the meantime, he was going to keep up hunting for pokemon!

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Magikarp || Male || Swift Swim || Water || 05 Splash || - - -|| - - - || - - - || It was quite a peaceful day, if he could say so himself. The carp Pokemon swam along in the current, mouth opening and closing to push water through his gills and doing not much at all. He wanted to get to a pond, but all he got was endless ocean. Oh well, what could he do? He continued to swim and swim, thinking up random thoughts as he did so when something caught his eye. That something was going along the shoreline, seemingly smug with himself, and the Magikarp couldn’t resist poking his head out of the water to take a look.
It was a human. By the looks of it, a human male. The orange carp’s mouth opened and closed as he peeked out from behind a rock sitting in the water. He was curious, but he didn’t like how the human looked and so would stay hidden for the time being. As he walked, he swam along and followed just out of reach.

Angels, they fell first but I'm still here TO END ALL THE INNOCENCE [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
Now that he had psyduck at his side in the pokeball, he was hoping that he'd be fortunate enough to capture something a bit more to his liking. He walked along the waterside, looking ahead at nothing in particular. The path behind him was leaving tracks in the wet sand. He was barefoot, but not because he was sentimental or because he had thought about the feeling of his feet in the damp sand. No, not him. He didn't like sand in his shoes, and so had taken them off when he realized that that was what he was getting. Nothing was harder to get completely out of clothes and shoes than sand.
He didn't notice that he was being followed. Not at first. He was following along the shoreline, and had meandered a bit closer to the water. Yet he didn't noticed because he was looking straight ahead. Not until he had an eerie feeling he was being watched, did he turn his head, slowly, and there it was. Normally, he'd be irate at seeing the most useless of pokemon swimming there, with its fishy face and eyes watching him. Still, he knew what Magikarp became. Oh yes, who knew better than he? And what better time to test out that move? He'd obtained a serum at a better price than hoped for. And wouldn't that silly pokemon just be so shocked? There was no escape for it. It was in the water, and while most water types would have been ignored that were fish-like, not this time. Not this one. It had sealed its fate the moment it had started watching him.
He gave no warning, only there was static in the air in the next moment, and then an explosive bolt hit, hopefully right where the Magikarp was, but not necessarily needing to be. Thunder was guaranteed to hit in the water or rain. He knew it, and soon the Magikarp would know it too.
He plucked a pokeball from his side, fully intending to capture this little sucker inside. What chance had it stood? Magikarp was a pokemon who, though pretty much useless in its first form, evolved into the more highly sought after gyarados. His own DNA source, and why shouldn't it be, therefore, his favorite pokemon? He watched, eyes narrowed, to see if the orange carp pokemon had been knocked out by that hit. If he were lucky, he'd have something rather nice to trade with a little work...after all, he didn't need another gyarados around. He was more than enough of one himself!

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Magikarp || Male || Swift Swim || Water || 05 Splash || - - -|| - - - || - - - || The human continued to walk for a bit, staring straight ahead. The Magikarp followed close behind, still just out of arm’s reach just in case he wanted to take a whack at him. He didn’t savour being anybody’s prey today, thank you. He’d just keep swimming and swimming and hey! It looked like the human finally noticed him after all. He stayed where he was, staring up at him and unsure how to react as of yet.
Then, out of nowhere, there was thunder. He wasn’t even sure where the heck it came from; the sky was perfectly clear and the sun was out. There wasn’t a cloud anywhere within his sight, and yet the next thing he knew, he was floating belly-up, barely conscious at the sudden thunderstrike…
WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Wingull || Male || Keen Eye || Flying / Water || 07 Growl || Water Gun || Supersonic || - - - || A hungry Wingull dipped and dove in and out of the aircurrents of the sea, looking for something tasty to eat from the sky. His flock fluttered around him, all looking for a morsel that evening, keen eyes scanning large swaths of the ocean as they searched for a meal. They circled and swooped in large groups, each one looking out for their own…
The Wingull spotted something below. A human with something in his hand. Was it food? The flying-water type separated himself from the group, swooping low overhead when he spotted it. A Magikarp, floating belly-up in the water and looking quite immobilized. Ah, now that would make a tasty meal, now would it? Without looking at the human, the Wingull swooped even lower and plucked the prone Magikarp right out from the water, sailing high again before landing on a washed-up tree stump nearby. He eyed the human warily, watching to see if he’d do anything to take his meal.

Angels, they fell first but I'm still here TO END ALL THE INNOCENCE [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
It wasn't really a sweet victory. The stupid orange carp pokemon hadn't even had a chance. Still, he had another pokemon down and out, and he fully intended to make use of it. He removed a pokeball from his belt, the second, and walked up to the water's edge. What happened next was certainly not expected.
Without any warning, another pokemon swooped down and plucked the Magikarp up out of the water, right in front of him. His eyes flashed angrily, and he whirled around to see the impudent thing alight on a rock. He snarled, furious. How dare it steal his pokemon! That little bastard was going to pay! He was so pissed off that he was ready to go for overkill here. He didn't even plan on capturing this one. If he fried it and left it here to be someone else's meal, the little shit deserved what it got. No one stole his pokemon!
He murmured something, darkly, under his breath, and it began to rain. From no where, the torrent came down, likely strengthened by his fury. If this pokemon dared to mess with him, this was every bit what it deserved. Rain Dance made it rain, and what was rain...without a little thunder and lightning?
The bolt that shot down toward the thieving flying and water type pokemon was larger than the one that had undone the poor Magikarp. Thunder never missed in rain or water! He grinned devilishly, watching, eyes flashing. This would teach it to steal from a gijinka! To steal from him! No one got away with that shit. No one!
He fully planned to retrieve his Magikarp and leave the stupid thing on the rock, yes. Vengeful, maybe. So totally him, though. He might have reconsidered if he realized how wet he was now getting. Still, he hadn't really been thinking--he'd been too pissed off. The rain was warm enough, but heavy. Annoying. Wet. Well, that was small price to pay to get back at the thieving bastard.

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Wingull || Male || Keen Eye || Flying / Water || 07 Growl || Water Gun || Supersonic || - - - || The Wingull crowed and cawed out at his flock, more than happy with the meal he had received. He was rather happy when all the sudden, out of nowhere, it seemed that black clouds came into the sky. There was the ominous rumble of thunder, and the Wingull knew better than to take flight now. In fact, he called to his flock to take cover, even if he wasn’t with them. They needed to keep safe, lest some thunder hit them and strike them down.
The human seemed alright with the rain though, and now was approaching him with a vengeance in his eyes. Was this his Magikarp? Well, he certainly didn’t see his name on it, so it was free to take. He raised his wings and began to flap them, cawing loudly in the human’s direction. There was no way he was getting his meal. He was hungry, and if that blue-haired human wanted it, then he could—
A boom of thunder, and the Wingull cried out shrill as he was hit with a giant bolt. Thunder was a double weakness, unfortunately, and the bird fell over on the spot, leaving the Magikarp on the spot.

Angels, they fell first but I'm still here TO END ALL THE INNOCENCE [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
And down the wingull went, just like predicted. Not that he didn't know why. Flying, water? Not so great with electricity. Now that it was a fried little birdie on the rock, he took the pokeball in his hand, and tapped it on the Magikarp. Inside with it, and the wingull would make a lovely poultry meal for some other pokemon. For a moment, he thought it might be lovely to fry it on a stick and feed it to his newly caught Magikarp! Wouldn't that be irony? Still, the thought of it was quickly forgotten. It was raining, and he'd be damned if he was going to start a fire, in the rain.
He stood up, placing the pokeball back where it belonged. That was two pokemon, now. Mind you they were both water types, but what had he expected, wandering about on the Sea Shore? He stared upward, cursing himself again. Stupid damn rain. It would end at some point, but that wasn't now. He'd done it, and now he had to deal with it. No umbrella, either. He had liked water a lot better after his little DNA intervention. Still, it annoyed him that his clothing was getting soaked. He shook his head, but to no avail. Stupid rain.
There were likely pokemon who liked the rain, though. Maybe this had its advantages. Not for the poor, stupid wingull. That would teach it, it would think twice about taking a pokemon a gijinka had rightfully won. He spotted a rock, and walked over to it, sitting down and looking around. Maybe something would come out and he could have another fun little spat. It was a good place, for him, really. He had some advantages, and though he'd really lost his temper--and didn't give two shits either--and fried the wingull, maybe he'd try out some other moves? If he got something that was good against electricity, especially.
